1. Our Privacy Philosophy

We believe that your personal data is yours alone. Soniclear is built from the ground up to respect user privacy. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or transmit your private files, microphone inputs, or camera streams to any external servers. All operations are run locally on your device.

2. Zero Data Collection & Local Processing

Soniclear does NOT collect, save, or store any personal data. All diagnostic tests are executed in real-time, local-only environments on your physical iOS device:

• Microphone Diagnostics: Microphone permission is requested solely to analyze audio frequency levels, gain, and ambient noise levels in real-time during the test. Your audio inputs are processed locally on-device and are NEVER recorded, stored, or transmitted.
• Camera & Screen Tests: Camera access is used purely to render a live viewport on the camera test screen to verify lens clarity and hardware sensor feedback. No video recordings, photo frames, or metadata are stored or sent anywhere.
• Haptic & Flashlight Tests: Hardware checks for haptics and the flashlight are executed entirely on-device using local system interfaces. No data is collected, monitored, or logged.
• Local Diagnostics Cache: Your test diagnostic checklist, progress history, and overall Device Health score are stored locally in your device's native sandbox using UserDefaults. This data remains on your physical device and is never uploaded.

3. Third-Party Services & Payment Security

All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed securely by Apple's App Store Billing System. App Store transactions and subscription entitlement states are verified in partnership with RevenueCat. RevenueCat processes transaction tokens securely to active Pro features, which are subject to their own strict privacy policies; they do not collect personal identify information from within Soniclear.

4. Children's Privacy

Because our application collects zero personal data, we do not knowingly collect or solicit any data from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions).

5. Data Security

Because we do not collect any personal data or transmit information off your device, there is no remote database or server that can be compromised. Your diagnostics, settings, and health scores remain strictly offline inside your local sandbox.
